SHOT OF THE WEEK

Make that a pair

Moments after Lee Janzen aced the par-3 17th hole on Monday during the CVS Charity Classic, Scott McCarron asked him to take his ball out of the hole, because he believed he would ace it. Everyone got a nice chuckle, then McCarron knocked his tee shot in the hole for remarkable back-to-back aces. The only downer for McCarron: the sponsor was giving away a car for the first hole-in-one.

WHO'S HOT

A major force

With birdies on four of the last five holes, Karrie Webb, 24, overtook Laura Davies to claim her first major championship at the du Maurier Classic, winning for the sixth time this year and vaulting to the top of the LPGA money list. In less than four seasons, Webb has won 15 times.

WHO'S NOT

Bye-bye birdies

Davies let one slip away on Sunday when she was unable to birdie any of the par 5s after having played them in 8 under through the first three rounds. Davies, who has 17 career LPGA titles and 55 around the world, has not won this season.

QUOTABLE

"On paper, they should be caddying for us."
