Susan Fraley, a victim advocate for 12 years at the Pinellas Sheriff's Office, was awarded the Victim Advocate Purple Heart Award during the annual Florida Network of Victim/Witness Services conference last month in Palm Beach County.
Laura Scott, her supervisor, said Fraley is "always there for her victims. . . . Each client is treated as though he or she were the only person she is helping."
Fraley is a leader in the county Victim Rights Coalition, where she serves on several advisory boards and legislative communities, including the Domestic Violence Task Force and a committee for the Haven spouse abuse shelter.
Margot and the Rev. Alan Simpson, Belleair Bluffs, celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary recently with a train trip to San Francisco. They were married July 15, 1944, in Chicago.
