A Palm Harbor man is accused of installing a camcorder in a woman's attic and programming it to videotape her bathroom through a ceiling vent at certain times of the day.
Ronald E. McVety, 31, of 159 Old Oak Circle, is charged with residential burglary, according to jail records.
A Crystal Beach couple found the VCR and camcorder hidden in their attic as they were clearing out the house and preparing to move, said Pinellas sheriff's spokeswoman Marianne Pasha. The woman, who had recently worked for McVety, said McVety had access to her house because he was married to her aunt until recently.
McVety was held Wednesday night in the Pinellas County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.
