A 28-year-old Holiday man is accused of threatening to cut the hands and fingers off two young children and of leaving the children unattended.

Christopher Wayne Miller of 4316 Crestfield Ave. was arrested Wednesday and charged with leaving a boy, 8, and a girl, 6, without supervision on July 11, according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report. He was their caretaker at the time, said sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll.

The children also told an investigator that Miller threatened to cut off their hands with a knife, holding it within several inches of their body, the report said. The report said Miller admitted he threatened to cut off the fingers of the children because they had been stealing.

Booked on two counts of child abuse and two counts of aggravated assault, Miller was being held at county jail in Land O'Lakes on $10,000 bail.
