Ruskin man arrested
1 year after fatal crash
TAMPA _ More than a year after Warren Charles Howard of Ruskin died in a head-on collision, the driver of the vehicle that plowed into his car has been arrested and charged with Howard's death. Agents from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested Glen Dean Dunlap, 42, and charged him with DUI manslaughter and driving with a suspended license. He was taken to the Hillsborough County Jail, where he was held without bail Friday.
On June 20, 1998, the 75-year-old Howard and his 8-year-old passenger, Keith Myles Jr., were driving south on U.S. 41. Dunlap, of 30628 Gar Drive in Wesley Chapel, was driving north in the southbound lane. Dunlap's passenger, Margaret F. Paine, 47, of Largo, was seriously injured.
The boy traveling with Howard was treated and released from the hospital the day of the accident.
