In Sand-tiquity: Architectural Marvels You Can Build at the Beach (Willow Creek Press, $16.95), Malcolm Wells, Kappy Wells and Connie Simo up the ante, demonstrating how to build stepped pyramids, temples, ziggurats, amphitheaters _ even the Great Wall of China _ by using damp sand and a simple straight, flat stick of wood.
