PLAN WOULD CLOSE INGLIS LOCK: The state Office of Greenways and Trails wants to implement a $1.8-million plan to close the rarely used Inglis Lock, a 30-year-old structure that links Lake Rousseau with the former Cross Florida Barge Canal. Officials say the plan provides alternative access to the canal, but some locals are dubious. The issue will be discussed during a hearing at 4 p.m. today at the National Guard Armory in Crystal River.
