Raid leads state to suspend Pleasuredome's liquor license

State regulators suspended the business liquor license of the Pleasuredome, an Ybor City nightclub, after a four-month undercover drug investigation led to several arrests.

Officials from the Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco said the Tampa Police Department and the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office assisted them in the investigation and raid of the club at 1430 E Seventh Avenue on Saturday, making 10 arrests and seizing such drugs as LSD, marijuana, Ecstasy and GHB.

An emergency order suspending the bar's liquor license and a search warrant were served.

A spokeswoman from the state division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco said during the four-month investigation, undercover detectives and agents made 80 purchases or deliveries of drugs from 44 people at the club, including employees and bar patrons.
