SLITHERING AROUND THE SENATE

There have been complaints before about slimy, cold-blooded, venomous creatures in Tallahassee, but the Legislature wasn't even in session when this 2- to 3-foot black-and-yellow python showed up Monday in the state Senate's underground parking garage. "Lost and found" notices were posted about the snake, held by Senate Deputy Sgt.-at-Arms Donald Severance, but no one had claimed it by Monday evening.
