Alzheimer's caregivers invited to have a ball

The Tampa Bay chapter of the Alzheimer's Association will host a "caregiver outing" Aug. 26 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg.

The free event is designed to provide a break for those who provide care for a family member with Alzheimer's disease. It will include breakfast, bus transportation and seats at "The Beach" for the Devil Rays baseball game at 12:30 p.m. Guests may enjoy the game and find support through other caregivers.

The Alzheimer's Association is a national health agency that helps patients and their families in Pinellas, Hillsborough and Polk counties. The association supports the nationwide research effort, provides patient and family services, provides education and serves as an advocate for people affected by Alzheimer's in the bay area.

Reservations are required for the baseball outing. Call the chapter office at (727) 578-2558.
