A 35-year-old man is accused of hitting a 15-year-old boy in the face early Monday and knocking him against a wall. John Raymond McNamee faces one count of child abuse, according to a Hernando County sheriff's report. The incident occurred about 1:20 a.m. when McNamee came to a house in Spring Hill, knocked on the door and then broke a window to get inside, the report said. Authorities say McNamee and the victim are related. McNamee began arguing with a woman at the home when the teenager came to the woman's aid. The boy and the woman fled to a neighbor's home. The boy received a bloody nose but did not go to the hospital. McNamee remained at the Hernando County Jail Tuesday.
