Sale to benefit animal sanctuary

(ran PW, PS editions)

The Safehouse Animal Sanctuary Inc., 12836 U.S. 19, Hudson, is sponsoring a sale on all children's new and used clothing, toys and other selected children's items.

A variety of brand name dog and cat foods and supplies are being offered at 50 to 75 percent off retail prices.

All of the food has a shelf life into 2000. The sale of the pet food and supplies will continue until the inventory is sold out.

Proceeds from sales benefit the sanctuary animals and a building fund for additional facilities needed to help more needy animals.

Donations of clean items suitable for resale are requested. Volunteers for the Thrift Shop are needed. Donations of labor and materials to build an aviary and other housing units are being requested.

The sanctuary is a non-profit organization that houses and cares for abused, abandoned and exploited animals. The facility relies on donations.

Store hours are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
