A 15-year-old student at the Cypress Creek Academy juvenile detention facility is charged with committing battery on a juvenile detention staff member, according to an arrest report. Antonio Kashaun Adams is accused of striking Timothy Eatman on July 31. Eatman told authorities he was attempting to counsel Adams, who had become disruptive, when Adams hit him in the right eye, the report said. Adams told the arresting deputy that he and Eatman had been arguing and that Eatman pushed him first, the report said. Adams, who initially was arrested as a juvenile, was charged as an adult Tuesday. Adams was transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center in Ocala after his arrest.
