Interstate eyesore

Two trucks collided about 9 a.m. Wednesday on Interstate 4, backing up traffic for several hours. The Florida Highway Patrol said a 1981 Mack truck traveling west on Interstate 4 struck the right rear of a 1987 Mack truck that was stopped for traffic in the left lane of I-4 near 22nd Street. The driver of the 1981 Mack truck, Rolando Jerez, 42, of Tampa, was in fair condition Wednesday night at Tampa General Hospital. The other driver, Homer Burnham, 60, of Riverview, was not injured.
