Bus drivers for the Citrus County School District were asked: "What runs through your mind the night before the first day of school?"
SUSAN PUFF, 44, SUBSTITUTE DRIVER
"I'm anxious to get started; butterflies in the stomach; looking forward to a new school year and possibly my own run."
ANNITA SERA, 56, LECANTO PRIMARY SCHOOL
"In a way, I'm kind of nervous. They change over the summer and you think about the new ones you're getting. I'm really looking forward to the run. I'm anxious to get back to it. You're always afraid you're not going to wake up when you have to."
ROSE MARY SULLIVAN, 49, INVERNESS MIDDLE AND PLEASANT GROVE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
"The only thing I worry about is having one (child) left over at the end of a run. Once this little face popped up at the end of the run and I asked, "Where do you live?' It was way back at the beginning of the run. I said, "That was a long time ago. Why didn't you get off?' And he said, "I wanted to see where the bus goes'!"
LANCE UZAR, 41, CITRUS HIGH SCHOOL
"More than anything, just seeing my kids. We have a lot of fun together. I like treating them like my own."
