Woman, 86, charged with cutting husband

An 86-year-old New Port Richey woman is accused of taking a swipe at her husband with a kitchen knife in an argument, cutting his cheek.

Xavera Mary Summers, of 5614 Perkin Drive, was making a sandwich with the knife about 6:50 p.m. Tuesday during the argument, according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report.

She told a deputy she grew frightened because her husband, Walter Summers, 82, was yelling at her loudly. Trying to keep him away, she hit him without realizing the knife was in her hand, she told the deputy.

Walter Summers suffered a small cut in the attack.

Booked on a charge of aggravated domestic battery, Xavera Summers was released on supervised recognizance Wednesday from Land O'Lakes county jail.

Aripeka woman accused of choking neighbor

ARIPEKA _ A 30-year-old Aripeka woman is accused of choking a neighbor who is nine months pregnant.

Jennifer Mosiello of 9230 Elmira Ave. attacked her pregnant neighbor, Lori Dix, 20, in an argument over Dix's boyfriend at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday, according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report.

After Mosiello choked Dix, ripping her necklace, Dix punched Mosiello in self-defense, the report said.

Neither woman was seriously injured.

Booked on a charge of aggravated battery, Mosiello was released on supervised recognizance Wednesday from Land O'Lakes county jail.
