COLLECTIBLES AND CAKE: Memorabilia fans may find what they're seeking at the TNT Collectible Show in Largo on Sunday, which is celebrating the birthdays of Popeye the Sailor and local actor Lee Benton.
This marketplace-style collectibles show features, among other things, old and new toys, comics, books and magazines, movie posters, trading cards and Beanie Babies.
The celebration recognizes Popeye's 70th birthday with spinach pizza from CiCi's, and the (age undisclosed) birthday of Benton, a Tampa native who has appeared on Lois & Clark, Mike Hammer, General Hospital, T.J. Hooker and Fantasy Island. Benton will sign autographs, and folks who get there early can have birthday cake.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Honeywell Minnreg Building, 6340 126th Ave. N, Largo, near the intersection of U.S. 19. Admission is $2; children under 6 get in free. Call (813) 932-0494.
