Stanley and Romaine Kosharsky celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary with family at their home in St. Petersburg. They were married July 20, 1943, in New Castle, Pa., and moved to St. Petersburg from Canonsburg, Pa., in 1964.
Mrs. Kosharsky is an obituary writer for the St. Petersburg Times. Mr. Kosharsky was a mine foreman in Pennsylvania and owned a Sunoco Gasoline Station in St. Petersburg.
Mrs. Kosharsky is a member of Jehovah's Witnesses West Congregation in St. Petersburg and they have seven children, 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Benoit "Ben" and Fabiola "Beulah" Levesque celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 14, 1999, with family and friends in Myrtle Beach, S.C. They were married Aug. 9, 1949, in Fort Kent, Maine, and moved to St. Petersburg from Farmington, Conn., in 1989.
Mrs. Levesque was employed by General Motors in Farmington. Mr. Levesque retired as foreman for Carling Switch Co., in Farmington. He is an usher for the City of St. Petersburg at Tropicana Field. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Veterans of Foreign Wars and served in the Army Air Forces during World War II.
They are avid fishermen and card players and have four children and six grandchildren.
