Storyteller to tell tale of Mattie Spenser

P.E.O. Chapter HL of Sugarmill Woods will have a story time program featuring Mary Alice Traxler telling the story of The Diary of Mattie Spenser by Sandra Dallas.

The program will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Methodist Church, 8831 W Bradshaw St., Homosassa.

Admission is a donation of $5 to benefit the P.E.O. scholarship funds of Chapter HL, Homosassa. Light refreshments will be served.

Traxler is a professional storyteller, and she has worked for the Denver Public Library as a storyteller and book reviewer. After moving to Salt Lake City, she reviewed for the Salt Lake City Library.

Since moving to Florida, Traxler has given many storytelling programs for the P.E.O. sisterhood to help raise funds for scholarships for women.
