In his early 40s, the man was described as white, 6 foot 2 and 220 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 582-6200.

Speeding may have had

role in accident

CLEARWATER _ Speeding may have played a role in a serious two-car accident Sunday on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard, police said Monday. Two people were injured when they were thrown from a Honda CRX. Cody R. Wengert, 17, of New Port Richey remained in critical condition Monday at Bayfront Medical Center. Edward J. Wagoner, 22, of Palm Harbor was in fair condition at the hospital. A police spokesman said the Honda was traveling at "an excessive rate of speed" when it veered into oncoming traffic and crashed into a minivan. A preliminary investigation found no sign of alcohol, he said.
