Teen arrested in fatal accident

A 15-year-old Bradenton boy was arrested Sunday in connection with a car accident at Thys Road and Albermarle Parkway that left a 23-year-old New Port Richey man dead, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report. Jesus Hernandez-Cipriano, of 1329 11th St. W, was driving a Ford pickup south on Thys about 10 p.m. Saturday when he collided with a Chevrolet that was turning left onto Albermarle, the report said. The Ford ran into a ditch, flipped and ejected Hernandez-Cipriano's passenger, Leonardo Esquivel-Jara, of New Port Richey, who was pronounced dead at the scene, the FHP said. Hernandez-Cipriano, as well as the occupants of the Chevrolet, were not hurt, the report said. Hernandez-Cipriano was charged with not having a driver's license in a crash that caused death. He was released to juvenile authorities.
