TONIGHT: LIGHTNING VS. MAPLE LEAFS

WHEN/WHERE: 7:30, Ice Palace, Tampa.

TV/RADIO: Sunshine Network; WDAE-AM 620.

THE LOWDOWN: The Lightning snapped a seven-game losing streak Saturday with a 2-1 victory over the Atlanta Thrashers. G Dan Cloutier, who will be in net tonight, made 26 saves, while former Leaf Fredrik Modin scored both goals. F Dan Kesa, who missed the past two games with a groin injury, practiced Monday, and should be available. D Chris McAlpine, who left Saturday's game with a head injury, also practiced and should play. The Leafs have won two in a row, and have lost only once in six games. They are coming off a 3-2 victory over Los Angeles on Saturday. The Leafs trailed 2-0 going to the third, then won on Steve Thomas' goal with 20 seconds left. It was the second game in a row that Thomas scored a winning goal in the final minute. F Yanic Perreault is out with an arm injury, while enforcer Tie Domi is questionable with a rib injury. Look for Curtis Joseph to start in goal. Toronto won the lone previous meeting, 4-2 on Dec.

21 at the Ice Palace. The Leafs lead the all-time series 17-6.
