The Pro Bowl of Tact
The Chargers' Junior Seau was stung when he was not voted to the Pro Bowl this season after eight consecutive appearances. But when an AFC spot at linebacker opened Tuesday, Seau was picked as the replacement _ for Ray Lewis. "Obviously it's a bittersweet invite," Seau said. "My heart goes out to Ray Lewis and his family, first of all." Lewis was to start Sunday's game, and Miami's Zach Thomas was picked as his backup. Seau will back up Thomas.
Steffi Graf, fresh from getting more Australian Open TV time than most of the active women tennis players by virtue of dating Andre Agassi, created her own America's Cup fantasy camp today. She was AmericaOne's nonparticipating 17th crew member in the sixth race of the challenger final. Graf was invited aboard after she asked for a ride during a visit to AmericaOne's compound in Auckland, New Zealand. Her total amount of race TV time was not available.
"When we played, we looked at ourselves as the few, the proud. We considered ourselves the upper echelon, and we tried to act like it. I think now some of that has left the game."
