+ January Students of the Month at Sand Pine Elementary School: Chad Dumke, Lacey Stephens, Kyle McPherson, Carly Hobbs, Meagan Patrick, Nila Carpenter and Patrycja Dragan.

+ Ellen Kramp, a student at Quail Hollow Elementary School, was recently chosen to have her poem, Absent From School, published in the Celebration of Young Poets anthology.

+ Thomas Todd, a 12-year-old homeschool student, recently won a free ultalight flight and trip to NASA for his fundraising efforts with the Civil Air Patrol.

+ The following students in the Lead Dogs Team at R.B. Stewart Middle School had the highest academic averages for December: language arts, Dusty Chauncey; math, Meghan Lucas; science, Steven Wolf; social studies, Sofia Guidino.

+ Erica Lorenz has been named Citizen of the Month at West Zephyrhills Elementary School. Safety Patrol Person of the Month is Portia Cross.

+ A Student Board of Discipline has been developed at R.B. Stewart Middle School. Students who will provide peer discipline for minor infractions of others are: Melissa Betancourt, Morgan Brooks, Malcolm Echaluce, Daniel Hackey, Adam Heisner, Jamie Loar, Vanessa McGee, Amber Moss, Jonathan O'Neil, Sabrina Simpson, Meagan Smith, and Brooke Tindale. The following students have been named "Achievers and Good Citizens": Joey King, Jessica Skibenes, Andrew Tan, Meghan Keeran, James Jauss, Justin Csanadl, Amy Johnston, Erika Jarvi, Suneal Bedi, Cheyenne Sheets, Tim Craig, Carl Bookhamer, Stephanie Green, Brett Ross, Kristin Wueller, Marta Heidenreich, Greg Cole, and Justin Zeruk.

+ Students of the Month at Weightman Middle School: Amber Kibby, Elizabeth Richard, Jocoby Polston, Ranielle Bumbaugh, Ashley Hossman, Matt Wells, Heather Stroud and April Sapp. Schoolwide Student of the Month is Amber Kibby. Citizens of the Month: Chris Bennett, Bret Dolan, Justin Bryant, Kate Benedini, P.J. Price, Lynn Derosiers, Paul Malone, and Anix Patel. Schoolwide Citizen of the Month is Chris Bennett.
