NAME: Bill Hickey. AGE: 67.
HOMETOWN: New Port Richey.
FAVORITE COURSE: "Meadow Oaks. I play with a group out there, plus I like the practice facility because I think it's one of the best around."
FAVORITE HOLE: "Not really."
FAVORITE GOLFER: "I really do like Greg Norman. It just seems like he's got such a nice manner. He's certainly a great player, and he's had some bad luck, too."
BEST PART ABOUT GOLF: "It's very rewarding when you hit a good shot. When you do something well, it's just immediately rewarding."
WORST PART ABOUT GOLF: "It's really difficult to maintain your concentration. It's really easy to hit a poor shot and get disgusted and down on yourself."
BEST PART OF HIS GAME: "Probably my driving off the tee. I can hit anywhere from 220 to 280 yards."
WORST PART OF HIS GAME: "Irons into the green."
BRUSH WITH PERFECTION: "I had one lip the hole sixth months ago."
ABOUT HICKEY: Stationed at MacDill Air Force Base, he flew jet fighters for the Air Force until 1972. Hickey took up golf in 1994 and moved to New Port Richey from Wisconsin the same year.
