David Letterman wants him. So does Jay Leno. (His heart's desire is Leno.) Jones' agent, Harold Lewis, is working on other appearances. "I guess he's got some more things for me," Jones said. "I'll let Arliss do his job." (Arli$$ is an HBO show about an unscrupulous agent named Arliss Michaels, and athletes make guest appearances on each show. What a subtle "cast me" pitch.)

After Nigeria's scoreless tie against Republic of Congo in the African Nations Cup soccer tournament, the crowd became violent. In response, Nigeria's soccer federation said it would double the minimum price of tickets to $2 "to ensure that there is some order when the Super Eagles play."
