Tom Lehman won Sunday's Phoenix Open, his first official victory since 1996, when he won the British Open and Tour Championship.
Phil Mickelson was leading in Phoenix with eight holes to play, then disappeared. Two straight bogeys and a poor finish doomed him to a tie for 10th.
"I heard an expression the other day: "The only people who wish they were 50 are those who are older than 50.' So I don't say that any of us are all that juiced about getting old, and I include myself in that. But at the same time, those of us on the PGA Tour who have been able to hang around this long we're in an enviable position in that we've got something that's pretty exciting to come along late in our career."
