Class 4A, District 5

East Lake _ Amy Radel and Michelle Westhoefer are top returners. Gaither, Hillsborough and Sickles also are in this district.

Class 3A, District 9

Countryside _ Jennifer Dent leads a talented group. Dunedin _ A repeat of last year's second-place finish may be tough in this district. Palm Harbor University _ Senior Carla Wrassmann leads a deep team. Gulf, Land O'Lakes, Ridgewood and River Ridge also are in this district.

Class 3A, District 10

Clearwater _ Freshman Jessica Dougherty will give Tornadoes a boost. Boca Ciega _ Tiffanie Kalvoda and Lindsey Cole are top returners. Largo _ Packers' hope is to be competitive. Northeast _ A loaded district does not bode well for the Vikings. Pinellas Park _ See Largo and Northeast. Seminole _ Nicole Cercone elevates to No. 1, but graduation may take its toll. St. Petersburg _ The Green Devils have been strong recently, and this year should be the same.

Class 2A, District 10

Dixie Hollins _ A young team, Rebels might struggle. Gibbs _ Coach Troy Krotz hopes his team can compete. Lakewood _ Always competitive, the Spartans could do well in this district. Osceola _ A change of districts could do the Warriors good. Tarpon Springs _ Abbey Kronk, brother of boys player Ben, leads Spongers.

Class A, District 10

Canterbury _ Natalie Tirapelli and Aimee Downey are top returners. Clearwater Central Catholic _ Likely the third-best team in this tough district. Indian Rocks Christian _ Karen Floyd and Jennifer Griffin head an experienced team. Shorecrest _ Kelly Nelson and Sydnie Zillig anchor the Chargers. St. Petersburg Catholic _ The Barons might struggle against this competition.
