WWF impresario Vince McMahon says he has just the thing for the football fan suffering from post-Super Bowl withdrawal. More football. In a new league. Started by him. With no scripts. No Armageddons. No Divas (unless they would be the cheerleaders.) "The WWF is 100 percent entertainment," McMahon said Thursday. "But the XFL is 100 percent sports." The league is to start next February with teams in eight cities _ Orlando, Miami, New York, Washington, Los Angeles and two to be named. McMahon didn't say how long the season will be.

CORRECTION

In an item in Sunday's Times, the Associated Press misquoted Mike Tyson in an interview with Jim Gray. The quote from Tyson was: "And I'd like to say, the problem that me and you had, I'm a big enough man to squash it and be your friend. I was a little biased because I love Pete Rose and I was very upset about the confrontation you and Pete Rose had."
