A tour guide to homes

Here are details of current and upcoming show houses and home tours:

+ "Jewels on the Bay," through Feb. 20, designer show house at the Orange Blossom, 1920s bank building at Main and Palm streets in downtown Sarasota that is being turned into luxury condos. Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays; noon to 4 p.m. Sundays. Tickets: $15. Information: (941) 951-6420. Sponsor: local chapter of the American Society of Designers, benefiting local Boys & Girls Clubs. Directions: Take U.S. 41 into downtown Sarasota. Turn left (east) on Gulf Stream Avenue, then left on Main Street. The Orange Blossom is ahead on the right at the corner of Palm Avenue. Park on the street or on surface lots. (There is no dedicated show house parking.) Or, instead of turning on Gulf Stream, continue on U.S. 41 one more block, to the next light at Marina Plaza, turn right into the Marina Jack complex and park. Then walk across U.S. 41 and follow Main Street one block to the Orange Blossom. (Left turns are prohibited from southbound U.S. 41 onto Main Street.)

+ Anna Maria Island house tour: Five homes on Anna Maria Island will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 11. Tickets: $10 in advance, $12 day of tour. Information: Anna Maria Island Community Center, (941) 778-1908.

+ Tour of Historic Spanish Homes of Dunedin, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 18. Six Spanish-style homes built in the 1920s will be open. Tickets: $15.
