Scout leader's haircut earns badge of kindness

Girl Scout Troop 676 leader Brenda Resovsky is a little bit squeamish, above, about the haircut she's getting from Alexandra Turpin, 10, during their meeting Thursday night. Resovsky's 14-inch, 14-ounce braid, right, is destined for Locks of Love, a non-profit organization that uses donated hair to make custom vacuum-cap hairpieces for financially disadvantaged children with long-term medical problems. The two girls who got to do the trimming were selected from a drawing from among the 23 members of the troop. Vicki Downs from Michael Anthony's Salon in Dunedin supervised the cutting and styled her hair after it was cut by the girls.
