Rosie O'Donnell seems to think that she owns the named Rosie, and she's suing to prove it. Well, at least producers of her show are. They have filed a complaint against a radio station in Portland, Oregon, that is billing itself as "Rosie 105," a reference to its broadcast signal and Portland's reputation as the Rose City. Owners of the station claim there was no intention of associating with O'Donnell, and that the suit seemed to come out of nowhere. Not true, say producers, insisting that the station needed permission to refer to itself with the Rosie moniker, and they are demanding that the station quit using the nickname. According to the suit: "It is virtually certain that consumers of Rosie O'Donnell's television show will be drawn to defendants' Rosie radio station in the mistaken belief that defendants' Rosie broadcast entertainment emanates from the same source as plaintiff's Rosie broadcast."
