CAMPBELL 5, UCF 0: Junior right-hander Corey Byrd pitched 6 shutout innings to lead sixth-seeded Campbell past top-seeded Central Florida in the first game at Jacksonville.
The shutout broke UCF's school- and conference-record 169-game scoring streak. The Golden Knights were last shut out Feb. 14, 1998, 2-0 by Santa Clara.
Byrd allowed nine hits while walking three and striking out two to improve to 4-7. Reliever Byron Baston earned his third save with 2 hitless innings.
UCF stranded 13 runners, including seven in scoring position.
