TONIGHT: NEW JERSEY AT STORM

WHEN/WHERE: 8; Ice Palace, Tampa.

TV/RADIO: TNN; WDAE-AM 620.

RECORD: New Jersey 1-3, Storm 1-4.

COACHES: New Jersey _ Frank Mattiace (first season). Storm _ Tim Marcum (118-34, 12th season).

SERIES: Storm leads 3-1.

NOTES: This will be the second time in three weeks on TNN for the Storm, who beat Carolina two weeks ago and plays May 25 against Iowa in the Hall of Fame Game. The Storm lost a late lead against Orlando last week to fall to 1-4 and last in the Southern Division. Receiver Charles Wilson (19 catches, 249 yards, 6 TDs) should be back from a hamstring injury, and Lawrence Samuels (22-249-4) had his best game against Orlando. QB John Kaleo (50-for-82, 713 yards, 12 TDs) is sixth in the league with a 113.5 rating. The defense was impressive last week with its pass rush, but was unable to stop Orlando at key moments. This game will be a homecoming for George LaFrance, who played for Tampa Bay six years and is second on the Storm's career receiving list. He is second on New Jersey with 17 catches for 193 yards. Demetrious Stanley (30-425, 5 TDs) heads up an offense run by Tommy Maddox (16 TD passes). Kevin Gaines leads the league in interceptions (5). The Red Dogs lost last week to Nashville 49-44 and are off to the worst start. Former Bucs coach Sam Wyche will be part of the TNN broadcasting crew.
