Yankees to fans:
No beer for you!
Starting Friday, beer will be banned from the bleachers at Yankee Stadium. Beer vendors stopped roaming the bleachers last season, and now, bleacher concession stands no longer will sell the suds. Says Lonn Trost, the team's chief operating officer: "It is the Yankees' responsibility to take every reasonable step to maintain a fan-friendly environment throughout the stadium. And we feel this is a positive and proactive decision." Makes sense to us. The policy goes into effect against the Red Sox.
Just as long as
they don't ban wine
A new restaurant in Appleton, Wis., will carry a familiar name. The Vince Lombardi Steakhouse, set to open in July, will be named for the late Packers coach.
QUESTION OF THE DAY
