The American Numismatic Association has doubled its number of summer seminars. Two one-week sessions will be held to accommodate the flood of applicants.
Sessions, offering intensive study in numismatics will be held July 1-7 and 8-14 at the association's headquarters in Colorado Springs.
Twenty-one new classes have been listed ranging from art history through coinage to specific studies in Colonial coppers, Asian coinage and computers and their use in numismatics.
Long-running courses in coin-grading, counterfeits, photography, U.S. currency, ancient coinage and Civil War coinage will return. A total of 46 courses will be offered, and students may join field trips to the Denver Mint as well as recreational tours in Colorado and New Mexico.
