NOTES: After a disappointing car count the past several weeks, 16 Late Models showed up for racing at Sunshine last Saturday night, which went a long way toward making the track's top class as interesting and exciting as it should be. No. 22 Sammy Coghill, the class champion the past three years, has changed his mind about not running for the points again this season _ probably. As a result of missing the week of May 6, Coghill was second in points after last Saturday and is close to catching No. 5 Brian Leverock. On May 27, the track will hold the 50-lap Open Wheel Modified Championship race, so it's possible some Modifieds that normally race elsewhere will be at Sunshine to dial in their cars. Darren Jackson, who won the Modified championship for the past two seasons, may be back this week driving the No. 4 of Jim Keelin Jr., who wants to take a month off. In the other regular classes, Enduros will run the oval course. _ BOB BOYLE
