Standridge, Devil Rays fall 9-5

Jason Standridge gave up six earned runs on 10 hits in 6 innings and St. Petersburg lost 9-5 against Vero Beach on Friday.

Vero Beach's Hunter Bledsoe went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, a stolen base and two RBI.

Bill Everly pitched 1 innings to get his first save. The Devil Rays have dropped three in a row.

LAKELAND 3, DUNEDIN 1: Tigers starter Rick Kirsten pitched a three-hitter in a complete-game victory over the visiting Blue Jays. Lakeland's Omar Infante went 1-for-3 with a home run. Ryan Spille gave up eight hits and one earned run and took the loss.

JUPITER 3, TAMPA 2: Jupiter designated hitter Matt Cepicky went 1-for-4 with two RBI. Tampa catcher Michel Hernandez was 1-for-3 with an RBI. Don Bridges gave up two earned runs on six hits for the win. Scott Albin recorded the save. Scott Wiggins gave up three earned runs on six hits in the loss for the visiting Yankees.
