YOU DON'T SAY
On their way to a golf course Thursday, several Devil Rays passed the University of Washington campus just outside downtown Seattle and commented on the picturesque setting. Shortstop Kevin Stocker, who was a second-team All-American at Washington, said the beauty comes with a price. Namely, goose poop. Stocker said the Huskies did not have many rainouts during his three seasons, but players were constantly raking the field and pulling the tarp on and off. The entire process was made more difficult by geese that lived nearby and wandered onto the field to leave their droppings.
