Martin and Lani Kip of Spring Hill recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The Kips, formerly of New Milford, N.J., were married May 4, 1950, at the Reformed Church in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Kip is a retired foreman for the Bergen County Road Department in Hackensack, N.J. Mrs. Kip is a retired cashier for the Grand Union Supermarket in New Jersey.
The Kips have a son and daughter-in-law, Bert and Christine Kip, of New Jersey, and two granddaughters, Lindey and Juliana. The Kips' son and his wife gave them a celebration brunch with friends and relatives in New Jersey.
George and Margaret Bleezarde of Spring Hill celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 20. Originally from New Jersey, they were married at St. John's Episcopal Church, Passaic, N.J., in 1950.
Bleezarde is retired from the Economic Development Department of Ocean County. He graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marines Academy in 1944 and went to sea for U.S. Lines until 1953. He also worked with the Eclipse-Pioneer Division of the Bendix Corp., NYSE Inc., and was the director of admissions at Admiral Farragut Academy in New Jersey. Mrs. Bleezarde worked for Seamen's Bank for Savings in New York, as well as Berkley Federal Savings and Loan in New Jersey.
The Bleezardes have one son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Nancy Bleezarde of New Jersey; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Nancy and husband Jerry Kesselring of Spring Hill, Carol Ann and husband David Dziura of New Jersey, and Janet DeParto of New Jersey; and eight grandchildren, Nicole, Craig, Carly, Allyson, Scott, Stephen, Amy and Lori.
The couple celebrated their anniversary at the Best Western Weeki Wachee Resort ballroom on Saturday with friends and family members.
