A pair of Hudson teens were arrested at their homes early Sunday after the victim of what the pair called a "prank" called deputies to report he and a window in his house had been shot with a slingshot.
Jason James McDonald, 16, 12808 First Isle, and Andrew Tucker Mitchell, 17, 9624 New York Ave., were arrested at 1:44 a.m. and both charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling.
Mitchell, who police said fired the slingshot, was also charged with aggravated battery.
According to a Pasco County Sheriff's arrest report, the two bought the slingshot and went to 16030 Frost Drive. With McDonald driving, Mitchell fired buckshot at the house, breaking a window, deputies said.
Deputies said Roger Cremeens tried to stop the teens as they drove off. Cremeens said he was shot in the shoulder and had a small cut from the buckshot.
Both teens were taken to the Pasco County Juvenile Detention Center.
