Two pairs of Hispanic men were robbed minutes apart and blocks away Friday night by teenagers on bicycles, Pasco County sheriff's deputies said.
The first robbery occurred just after 10 p.m. at 14923 Blanton St., where two men said they were walking to a friend's house when the teens came up to them on bicycles demanding money. One pulled out a pistol and struck Elleseo Alvereze over the head.
Alvereze and Pepe Moralis said the teens took money from them and fled.
A few minutes later, at 37010 Tait Ave., Ricardo Balle-Garcia and Roberto Herrera were standing in the front yard when two men came up behind them. One had a handgun and demanded money.
Herrera refused to give them his wallet and they fled, deputies said. Balle-Garcia said he saw them ride up on bikes and flee on them.
Both sets of men described the gunmen as black and 17 to 20 years old. They were unable to give clothing, height or weight descriptions of either.
