Oct. 14 is the date set for the seventh annual Paint Your Heart Out Pasco County when a fresh coat of paint will be applied by volunteers to the exteriors of approximately 25 homes.
The organization is accepting applications from people who would like their houses considered for the project. Single story homes owned by low-income and disabled residents will be considered. To qualify, the homeowners must have an income of less than $19,000 a year for homes with two people and $16,650 for homes with one person. No mobile homes will be accepted.
Applications will be reviewed and the exterior of the houses inspected before 25 are chosen. The homes will be pressure-cleaned before being painted beige or white, and homeowners will be able to choose their trim color.
For applications, call First Call for Help at 869-6677.
Sponsorships are available: Gold, $1,500; Silver, $1,000; Bronze, $500. Contact Kurt Conover at 861-5141 for information.
