Say it isn't so
Rush Limbaugh is telling the world that he has auditioned for the vacant Monday Night Football color commentating role/roles. Not surprisingly, ABC isn't admitting such a thing took place. Also not surprisingly, Limbaugh says his audition was "excellent." He says he recently traveled to Los Angeles and called a prerecorded game with play-by-play holdover Al Michaels. "I surprised myself," Limbaugh said. (We doubt that.) "I had not seen the game we did. And I didn't try to study up on the game because who knows how the real game's going to play out?" There's an insightful comment. ABC says it will announce the new hire/hires next month.
Women who love
Tonya Harding is out of jail after serving three days for disorderly conduct _ the legal charge for throwing a hubcap at her boyfriend, Darren Silver, and hitting him. The sometimes figure skater pleaded guilty last week. After her Sunday release, Harding, 29, issued a statement in which she said, "I want you all to know that I still love Darren very much." Silver, 28, told Inside Edition, "I just want her to be happy and not harmed."
