Richey Elementary School Students of the Month: Kaylene Mancini, Austin Tolle, Matthew Negrich, David Piro, Jacqlyn Titus.

Students in Ms. Livermore's class at Cotee River Elementary School recently collected 145 U.S. flags that needed to be retired. The children then participated in the American Legion Post 335 flag burning ceremony March 30 and performed a skit, "A Recipe for Freedom." Sara Shafer was presented with a certificate and trophy for collecting the most flags. Cotee River also received a certificate of appreciation.

Jacob Cohen, a fifth-grade student at Genesis School East Campus, won first place in the Natural Landscape Student Division for March for Parks Photography contest. Ms. Rader won first place in the Plant Category Adult Division. In the Chasco Fiest Street Parade, the school float won first prize in the Clubs and Organizations category.

Seven Springs Middle School Spelling Bee Winners: First place: Heather Mahoney. Second place: Kyle Hagerty. Third place: Chris Ulicne. Fourth place: Sean Dugan. Kyle Hagerty won fourth place in the District Competition.

The following students represented Seven Springs Middle at the Regional Science Fair: Ben Fruits, Vincent Salpietro, Lauren Schenk, Christine Tucker, Hannah Davis, Lleah Chandler and Justin Drake. Ben Fruits was selected to attend the State Science and Engineering Fair. Nate Willis was named the school Project Turn-Around winner.
