Flights of fancy

With a model plane parked on the grass in the foreground, members of the Bay City Flyers Inc., a club devoted to radio-controlled model airplanes, sit in the hangar of their airfield off S Mobley Road in Citrus Park on Thursday telling flying stories.

A 300xs model plane flies by under the control of club member John Flood on Thursday. Flood, 68, has been flying model airplanes since he was in the 7th grade.
