NOTES: Wilson is winless in three starts despite a 1.50 ERA _ three earned runs in 18 innings. He hasn't won in the big leagues since Sept. 20, 1996. Zito, Oakland's first pick in the 1999 draft, makes his 10th start since a July 22 promotion. He went 1-0 with a 2.13 ERA in his first four starts; 2-3 with a 3.90 ERA in the next five. Todd Kalas steps into the Rays broadcast booth to replace Joe Magrane.

At 2 hours, 5 minutes, Saturday's game was the Rays' quickest of the season and matched their club record. What made it more unusual was that the A's scored 10 runs and the game still moved along so quickly. "I don't know that I've ever seen that," manager Larry Rothschild said.
