EARTHQUAKE IN TAIWAN: A strong earthquake jolted east-central Taiwan on Sunday, cutting off power and damaging roads in some areas. No building collapses or deaths were immediately reported. The epicenter of the 6.2-magnitude tremor was 2{ miles southeast of Hsincheng. Transportation Minister Yeh Chu-lan said that scattered damage was reported, including collapsed roads and blackouts.
