Daniel and Henrik Sedin, the Canucks' first and second picks in the 1999 entry draft, play in their first preseason game today against their old club, MoDo of Ornskoldsvik, in the opener of the NHL Challenge at Globe Arena.
"I don't think it will be an easy game for us, but it will be a lot of fun facing my old teammates," Daniel Sedin said.
Canucks coach Marc Crawford said he isn't worried about the twins adjusting to life in the NHL.
"I have a sense that these guys will become players whether we do anything special with them or not," he said.
BLUES: Forwards Michal Handzus and Lubos Bartecko re-signed. Terms were not disclosed. Handzus, 25, had career highs last season with 25 goals and 28 assists and finished second in voting for the Selke Trophy, given to the league's best defensive forward.
