A 33-year-old woman was accused Friday of torching a Richland mobile home this summer, Pasco County sheriff's deputies said.

Linda Darlene Dyson, currently living at 8133 Gall Blvd. No. 8 in Zephyrhills, was charged with arson, deputies said. Five other arson fires in her neighborhood are under investigation. She is not a suspect in the other fires, deputies said.

She was being evicted from her 8619 Semmes St. mobile home when she set fire to a sofa and twin bed in the house on Aug. 18, deputies said. Since July 5, six fires, including the one deputies say Dyson set, have destroyed four mobile homes. Another home has been damaged twice. All occurred within a one-block area.

The arson fires are being investigated by the state Fire Marshal's Office, Zephyrhills Fire Department and the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

After setting fire to her home, Dyson left, deputies said. Five to 10 minutes later, a bedroom window exploded and smoke came pouring out.

Dyson was being held Tuesday in the county jail in Land O'Lakes on $10,000 bail.
